Steve Busch has a 28-year career in U.S. Air Force (USAF) with 43 years of acquisition experience with core competencies in acquisition and contract management, logistics processes and procedures, international acquisitions, legislative liaison, and sales and marketing. Most recently, he is responsible for providing acquisition advice and expertise to senior Missile Defense Agency, Air Force, and other agency acquisition officials on numerous programs with a total planned value ranging from $100M to $20B. Mr. Busch was the Principal Advisor to the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force (Acquisition) on all depot maintenance competition matters. He successfully and simultaneously managed three source selections of $17B worth of depot maintenance workload. Mr. Busch authored major policy coverage, including policy on public-private teaming and orchestrated numerous congressional hearings. As Air Force Congressional Liaison, he authored or redrafted legislation affecting Air Force acquisition policy and processes. Mr. Busch prepared Air Force positions on over 200 pieces of legislation. He has in-depth experience in acquisition strategy development and execution, sustainment operations, logistics/supply chain management, and legislative issues. Mr. Busch is DAWIA Level III in Contracting and Program Management.
